Abbott Enters Agreement with Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging Names President

Abbott (NYSE:ABT) recently announced it has signed an exclusive agreement with Cincinnati Children's Hospital to develop a urine-based diagnostic assay to detect kidney injury and disease using the protein neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL). NGAL is a biomarker that has been reported to be valuable in assisting physicians in rapidly and accurately diagnosing acute kidney failure in a matter of hours compared to current tests that may take up to several days. The Board of Directors of Schering-Plough Corporation (NYSE: SGP) recently declared a quarterly dividend of 5.5 cents per common share. The Board of Directors recently also declared a quarterly dividend of 75 cents per share on the 6% Mandatory Convertible Preferred Stock.


Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE: BMY) recently announced the promotion of Tim Ravenscroft to president, Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging. As president, Mr. Ravenscroft will have responsibility for all aspects of the worldwide Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging business. He will report to Health Care Group President John Celentano. Mr. Ravenscroft will be based at Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging's global headquarters in N. Billerica, Massachusetts. CytoDyn, Inc. (OTCBB:CYDY) was advised recently that Team Hope, the charity bicycle riders sponsored by the Company, earned $10,910 for the Emory Vaccine Center during this year's Action Cycling 200, a challenging two-day, 200-mile bicycle ride that took place the weekend of May 20-21, 2006 in Georgia. This is as compared to $6,545 contributed by the next highest earning team. A total of $55,463 was raised for the Vaccine Center at Emory University.
