Abolins Inc., an Audio-Visual and general electronics retailer located in Tacoma, Washington will host their first workshop on creative lighting techniques for Portrait and Glamour lighting. The workshop will be on November 19th and will headed by world renowned photographer, Ray Jeannotte, and fellow Abolins employee, Todd Cheney, who will demonstrate all aspects of soft lighting using a live model.
These classes are designed to bring added value to the many aspiring photographers in the Tacoma, Washington area. Each photographer that attends the class will have their own opportunity to try, practice and shoot all techniques taught during the days’ classes using the models in class. Following the practice shots, Todd Cheney will print each photographer’s best shoot for a round table discussion. The round table discussion will be hosted by well-known photographer, Ray Jeanotte and focus on each individual’s photography efforts.

Classes are restricted in size to only six people to insure that all attendees receive proper attention and that all will walk away from the class having learned something new no matter what their skill set. The workshops are expected to run two and a half hours in length with an entrance fee of $75.00 per session. This is another in a series of Photography Classes taught at the Abolins store location, which saw a sizeable turnout from the local community with its last three weekend events. The events were held last month in October, and instructors included Nikon Representative Rose Whitaker as well as Abolins salesmen and renowned professional photographers Ray Jeanotte and Todd Cheney. The classes were designed to offer something for everyone, beginners, intermediates and advanced photographers were all encouraged and welcome to join. At times the class focused on tips and tricks for the Nikon D50 and D70 series digital cameras and other models, but encompassed many other fundamentals of photography.
