Canon U.S.A. and nQueue Partner for Development of Embedded Cost Recovery Application

5 June 2006

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 4, 2006 -- Canon U.S.A., Inc. and nQueue, Inc., a leading provider of information accountability software for law firms, today announced an agreement for nQueue to develop its embedded cost recovery application using Canon's innovative Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP®) to connect Canon brand and nQueue products.

The agreement will provide nQueue with access to Canon's MEAP software developers kit (SDK) for the development of an application for Canon's award-winning line of multifunctional products (MFPs). The proposed nQembedded for Canon application will allow users to enter user and client-related information directly at the control panel of a Canon device equipped with MEAP technology to provide full featured cost capture and analysis of transactions, without an external control device.

nQueue's «EMBEDDED™» product suite is a software solution that provides complete cost recovery and accountability for multifunctional devices without the need for a dedicated terminal. It will function directly within Canon imageRUNNER® MFP devices, providing a viable alternative to traditional hardware-centric cost recovery. nQembedded for Canon will streamline operations and reduce total cost of ownership by providing access to a single device for cost recovery and allocation.

«As a leader in embedded cost recovery applications for multifunction devices, we are very keen on this relationship with Canon. Canon's market share and powerful MEAP platform will allow nQueue to develop a world class application for our joint clients. As traditional copiers have morphed into multifunction devices performing multiple tasks such as copy, scan, print, fax, the best way to maximize solutions and reduce redundant hardware is to utilize the MFP as a solution platform. We applaud Canon for its MEAP technology initiative where our end customers will benefit from a robust, cost effective choice of solutions, «said Ray Zwiefelhofer President and CEO, nQueue, Inc.

«nQueue's expertise and presence in the legal market, coupled with Canon's innovative MEAP technology and imageRUNNER devices, will give law firms a powerful, customized cost recovery solution that will help positively impact their bottom-line,» said Sam Yoshida, director and general manager, Product Marketing Division, Canon U.S.A., Inc.
