FLIR Systems Awarded Contract to Secure Houston Airports

FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announcedtoday that it has received a contract to provide 14 thermal imaging camerasfor use at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P.Hobby Airport as part of a comprehensive video security system thatprotects more than 30 miles of perimeter at the two airports.


FLIR will provide ThermoVision Sentry II® and ThermoVision IntegrationSeries® cameras to be integrated with the airports' video processing andradar surveillance systems. FLIR's thermal imaging cameras will providevideo coverage in areas where ground-based radar is obstructed by buildingsor other objects, and be linked to a geospatial map interface to providehigh resolution infrared imagery to aid in the assessment of perimeterintrusion.
