FLIR Systems Introduces Low Cost ThermoVision Mariner(R) for Marine Market

FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announcedtoday the introduction of the new ThermoVision Mariner®, a powerful, lowcost thermal imaging system targeted at the large recreational boating andcommercial merchant marine market. Priced at approximately $7,000, theMariner utilizes FLIR's ThermoVision Photon® thermal imaging coreenclosed in a marinized pan tilt that can display images on its owndedicated screen or through an on-board integrated display. Marinerprovides critical navigation safety, search and rescue and securitycapability and allows boaters to see obstacles, debris, navigationalmarkers, other vessels and land areas in total darkness and through lightfog and smoke. Mariner also aids in safety and can assist in "manoverboard" and other emergencies.
