KODAK MOBILE SERVICE TEAMS UP WITH WARNER BROS. PICTURES

20 July 2005

Fans of the hit television series The Dukes of Hazzard, who are eagerly awaiting the August 5 movie release from Warner Bros. Pictures, can get a jump-start on the action, thanks to a new Kodak promotional campaign. From now until August 26, 2005, consumers who sign up for a free 30-day trial of KODAK Mobile Service will receive a free ticket to the movie and one of four special edition mobile phone wallpaper images featuring Johnny Knoxville, Jessica Simpson, Seann William Scott and the famous General Lee. To take advantage of the promotion, consumers simply send a text message from their mobile phones to KODAK ( 56325 ) with “Dukes” in the body of the message or go to www.kodakmobile.com/dukes.

“Kodak and movies go hand in hand, and we are excited about this opportunity to partner with Warner Bros. Pictures to take The Dukes of Hazzard movie to mobile phones,” said Dave Geary, senior vice president, mobile services, Kodak Digital Imaging Network, Inc. “We believe that enabling consumers to send The Dukes of Hazzard photos to their mobile phones will illustrate how easy it is to send ANY digital photo to your phone using the KODAK Mobile Service.”

A print campaign created by marketing communications agency Eric Mower and Associates will run in US Weekly, ESPN The Magazine and Rolling Stone later this month. Kodak and Warner Bros. Pictures will promote the offer in a behind-the-scenes feature shown on Harkins, Century, Marcus & Classic movie screens nationwide as part of a media buy with Cinema Screen Media. Thousands of tent cards placed in the food courts of 10 General Growth Properties Malls throughout the U.S. additionally will promote the campaign using the ad images. Interactive communications agency Carat Interactive will provide online advertising execution and online media buys. Additionally, media group Mindshare created a media plan and managed print media buys.

KODAK Mobile Service allows camera phone users to store, view, print, and share all of their digital pictures and mobile-captured video in one location. The service allows users to share photos with PC users and other camera phone users, even if their phones operate on different networks. Users also can order prints of any of their digital pictures directly from their phone for home delivery through the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery.
