New Sony Cyber-shot N13 October 2005
Sony sets new standards in pocket-size digital cameras with the new Sony Cyber-shot N1 digital camera.
The Sony Cyber-shot N1 features 8.1MP, 3 inch touch sensitive LCD Screen and ZEISS 3x Optical Zoom. All that packs the Sony N1 in a only 22.7mm slim aluminum body.
The touch-screen of the new Sony digital camera lets you use functions like menu, playback, forward and reverse just by touching or tracing a finger across the LCD screen.
The new Pocket Album feature in the Sony Cyber-shot allows you to carry and view up to 500 still photos and view them on the camera's large LCD screen. A separate, internal memory is dedicated to holding your pictures in VGA size thumbnails.
Besides the 3X optical zoom through the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar, the N1 also features a 6x Precision Digital Zoom, and a 15x VGA Smart Zoom.
With the 16:9 shooting mode you can shoot wide-screen images for playback on your wide-screen TV.
The Sony Cyber-shot N1 in silver aluminum will be available throughout Europe from late November 2005. I guess Sony USA will announce the Cyber-shot N1 later today. In the meantime here is the Sony press-release on Sony UK.
The Sony N1 has what it takes to make me upgrade from my trusty Sony Cyber-shot T1 I had now for a couple of years. Let's see what the price will be for the Sony Cyber-shot N1.
