P!NK to appear at Humberside Collegiate Institute for a question and answer session with students on Friday April 7th, 2006 @ 1:00pm

7 April 2006

International multi-platinum recording artist P!NK will appear at Humberside Collegiate Institute, 280 Quebec Ave, for a Question and Answer session with students on Friday April 7th from 1:00pm-2:15pm in the high school's Lismer Hall.

P!NK's 4th full length release I'm Not Dead hit stores on Tuesday April 4th. Never shying away from controversy, P!NK's latest video for her hit single "Stupid Girls" has sparked debate regarding today's female role models and the image they portray to young women.

The event will be hosted by Motion, a teacher, performing artist and published author. Motion was the winner of CBC's National Poetry Face-Off and has been nominated for the Urban Music and Much Music Video Awards. Motion's introduction will include the playback of P!NK's "Stupid Girls" video and a brief presentation on the impact of today's role models and imaging of young girls. Motion will begin interactive dialogue with girls in the audience, based on images, stereotypes and provocative questions concerning today's role models. Following this discussion, P!NK will join an interactive session with Motion and the young girls attending the event.

Television/print and on-line Media outlets are encouraged to attend and observe this special event.
