Radlink Signs Agreement With Clinical Image Management Systems to Serve as Master Distributor for CR Pro(TM) Machine in Southwest20 April 2006
Radlink, Inc., a fast-growing provider of affordable medical imaging systems to healthcare providers, today announced that it has signed an agreement with San Antonio, Texas-based Clinical Image Management Systems (CIMS) to serve as master distributor of its breakthrough CR Pro machine to healthcare organizations in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico, as well as the territory of Puerto Rico. Earlier this year, Radlink was granted clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to proceed with the sale and distribution of its breakthrough CR Pro machine. The system utilizes Radlink's sealed fiber-optic laser technology (patent pending) to deliver high-resolution, diagnostic-quality images that provide long-term image quality. "CIMS is recognized as a leader in the medical image management market because they deliver outstanding customer service and 'best in class' imaging products to healthcare organizations throughout the region, so they are an ideal partner for us to generate significant penetration of the CR Pro machine throughout these key Southwestern states and Puerto Rico," said Thomas Hacking, chief executive officer of Radlink. "At CIMS, we partner with only the finest distributors and suppliers because our name and reputation depend on us being able to provide the most cost-efficient and scalable digital imaging solutions available," said Neil Cox, chief executive officer of CIMS. "Thanks to the patent-pending technology platform Radlink has developed, their CR Pro machine can be sold at a substantially lower cost than other options in the marketplace while delivering image quality that is even better than the existing standard. Computed radiography is now attainable for healthcare organizations of all shapes and sizes." Radlink is a Redondo Beach, Calif.-based global radiography company that provides a wide range of medical film-to-digital image conversion, storage and delivery services to healthcare providers. The company markets its products and services to customers involved in medical film diagnostics worldwide, including radiology groups, physicians, diagnostic imaging centers, hospitals and health clinics.
