Rick Springfield, the 80s pop star and actor who's already making news by returning to his old part in TV's General Hospital, is also inspiring an unlikely literary boom of books by fans turned authors.

»Helping Hens: Rooster Tales for Zachary», a quirky collection of «Springfield-abilia» compiled by a diehard fan, recently became the fourth new Springfield-themed book to be published on Lulu (www.lulu.com), a print-on-demand website that enables anyone to publish their own book.
