Ricoh Corporation and its parent company, Ricoh Company Ltd., based in Tokyo, Japan, have each donated $200,000. Moreover, Ricoh Corporation employees raised a generous amount of money earlier this year for hurricane relief efforts, which the company then matched, thereby doubling the donation. "With the devastation to homes, businesses and infrastructure caused by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma, the American Red Cross continues its need for monetary assistance to fund cleanup and rebuilding operations," said Sam Ichioka, chairman and chief executive officer of Ricoh Corporation. "Ricoh recognizes the importance of the ongoing relief effort, and therefore, has whole-heartedly donated additional funds to support this noteworthy cause."
