(Nasdaq: ZRAN) announced that its Quatro 4100, a highly integrated, fully
programmable processor based on its Quatro imaging DSP platform, is running in
Samsung's new SPP-2020 and SPP-2040 dye sublimation photo printers for the
home market. Both models are now shipping in the United States.
"We selected Zoran's Quatro 4100 processor to provide Samsung's new
products with the high-quality image processing and overall high performance
needed to aggressively break into the competitive photo printer market," said

Company.
Samsung, the world's second largest laser engine manufacturer, marked its
entry into the home photo printing market with this pair of compact,
high-quality dye sublimation printers. The SPP-2020 and SPP-2040 enable users
to print from their PC via USB or directly from a camera phone, a camcorder or
a digital camera using USB PictBridge. Both models produce first-rate 4 by 6
inch snapshots at an industry-leading 60-second print speed with a quality
that matches silver halide prints. The SPP-2040 model also features a color
LCD with optional Bluetooth connectivity.
Simon Dolan, senior vice president and general manager at Zoran's Imaging

4100 for the first Samsung products for the home photo printing market. The
Quatro 4100 has been optimized for use in products developed to address the
fast growing consumer dye-sublimation printing space.
The Quatro 4100 provides a set of features and performance optimized for
print appliances. The single-chip solution integrates the processing
capabilities and connectivity modules that enable quick time-to-market
implementation in color inkjet and color laser multifunction printers as well
as direct-connect photo printers with USB or memory card interfaces or any
printer requiring one or more PC-independent functions.
